KYC for Affiliates: Why Payouts Wait

Know Your Customer is not a mood the platform is in. Payouts are a regulated money movement. What AFFILIFY actually needs, when, and why a completed KYC is the difference between pending and paid.

Affiliates treat KYC as an insult. Finance treats KYC as the reason they are allowed to send you money. Both are looking at the same gate.

AFFILIFY pays in USD. Earnings sit pending, then become available on the 15th of the month if they have cleared. Nothing leaves until KYC is complete. How payouts work is the pipeline. This post is the gate in the middle of it.

This is not legal advice, and it is not a complete AML manual. It is why the wait exists, what you will be asked for, and how not to add a second wait on top of the first.

Why the gate is there

Paying an affiliate is paying a person or a company in a gambling business. That is a regulated money movement in the places that matter. Platforms that skip the gate do not stay able to pay.

The checks exist to establish who is being paid, and that the destination belongs to them. They are not a comment on your traffic. Clean traffic still has to pass KYC. Dirty traffic still has to pass KYC, and then has other problems.

AFFILIFY uses Stripe Identity for the identity step. That is a vendor, not a vibe. Have a document that is actually valid, in lighting that a camera can read. A photo of a photo of a passport in a dark kitchen is how people add a week.

Pending, KYC, available, paid: the gate sits before the money leaves

When to do it

Before you care about the first payout. The affiliates who suffer are the ones who wait until the 14th, fail a photo, and then decide the 15th is a lie.

You can send traffic before KYC is done. You cannot withdraw. That is the whole policy, and it is the one that surprises people who came from programmes that paid a first tiny amount with no questions.

If you are a company, expect the company to be the payee, not your personal account, and expect the names to match. A mismatch is not a debate. It is a failed payout that looks, from your side, like nothing happened.

What slows it down

Expired documents. Names that do not match the payout method. A second attempt with the same unreadable photo. Asking support to skip it.

None of those is solved by volume. A Diamond-level account with a blurry ID is still waiting. The ladder does not replace the gate. The level system.

Held or under-review earnings are a different object. Those are about the traffic or the deposit, not about your passport. Do not send KYC documents in a ticket about a hold. You will confuse two queues and delay both.

What this is not

It is not a full tax seminar, and a later article in this cluster will only point at local rules, not replace them. It is not a list of what Stripe looks at internally. It is not a way to skip AML because you are "just a publisher".

On AFFILIFY the 15th remains the schedule for cleared earnings. KYC is how those earnings are allowed to travel. Do it once, do it while the first FTDs are still pending, and the gate will be boring, which is the best thing a gate can be.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get paid without KYC if the amount is small?

No. The gate does not have a souvenir lane. Small first payouts are exactly when people skip it, and then the second payout is late too. Complete it once.

Does KYC mean you think my traffic is fraud?

No. KYC is about who is being paid. Traffic quality is a different check, and we do not publish that checklist. Mixing the two in a support ticket is how both take longer.

I am a company. Do I still do personal KYC?

The payee has to be identifiable. A company payout needs the company to match the destination, and the people behind it still have to be real. Have the documents ready rather than arguing about which legal form should skip the line.

How long does KYC take when the documents are clean?

Usually not the long part of your first month. The long part is still pending-until-the-15th and any deposit that is under review. Unreadable documents are what turn KYC into the long part.
